Tom Jackson, 30, the heroic British man who was stabbed 20 times in the face, neck, and chest by a vicious MUSLIM savage as he tried to save a fellow backpacker has died from his stab wounds in the hospital yesterday.
Thomas Jackson, 30, died from his injuries at Townsville Hospital – the second victim of the horrific MUSLIM attack at the Home Hill hostel in Queensland six days ago. Mr Jackson, a freelance journalist from Congleton, Cheshire, was hailed for his ‘selfless courage’ following the Australian knife attack.

MUSLIM SAVAGE Smail Ayad (photo below) is accused of repeatedly stabbing Tom as he tried to shield his badly wounded friend Mia Ayliffe-Chung, 21. Miss Ayliffe-Chung, a British model working at the Bedroom nightclub on the Gold Coast, died at the scene following the attack. Ayad, a MUSLIM, was charged with her murder – and will be charged with Mr Jackson’s murder later today.

Mr Jackson had been fighting for life in hospital ever since and his father, Les, made a desperate dash from the UK to be by his son’s side.
He said today: ‘We are bereft. Our darling Tom has left us and the world is a poorer place. ‘Thanks again to everyone for the love and support you have given us over the last few days, we will be forever grateful.

A Youcaring fundraising page has set up to help the family. The page has raised more than £1,300 of a £5,000 target with all donations going to Mr Jackson’s parents.
Last week he said: ‘There are many and varied reasons why we are, and always will be, immensely proud of Tom. ‘His actions in response to this horrific attack only add to that sense of pride’.
