A MUSLIM man, Aziz Rahman Osmani, wanted for making threats against Reagan Airport in Washington, D.C. and assaulting a police officer was arrested in Boston and will remain hospitalized for a mental evaluation. (DING DING DING! Here we go, the popular new excuse for Muslim terrorists: “mental issues”)

Aziz Rahman Osmani, 22 (above), appeared briefly in court Tuesday afternoon and is currently undergoing a competency evaluation. In addition to the charges facing him, Osmani faces a trespassing charge in Boston. Boston Police said a series of concerning incidents led them to him on Monday.First, they said Osmani got into an argument with employees at a jewelry store on Washington Street when he was looking at pieces of jewelry and then refused to return them. Later, he was spotted leaving a suspicious package on the steps of the McCormack Building at 1 Ashburn Place on Beacon Hill, a state government building. It turned out to be a Quran, the Muslim  jihad training book.

The State Police bomb squad responded, and found that there was no threat. On that same afternoon, police responded to a disturbance at a shelter, and recognized Osmani from security footage from the jewelry store.Once he was in custody, police discovered Osmani had six warrants for his arrest out of Washington, D.C., some of which allege he made bomb threats. In court Tuesday afternoon, a prosecutor told the judge Osmani was in a no trespassing zone when he was picked up.A psychologist recommended he be sent to Bridgewater State Hospital, where he will remain for the rest of the month. (Yes, it takes time to coordinate all the “nothing to do with Islam” arguments.
